Our mission is to cultivate safety from the ground up by launching evidence-based, community-led initiatives that address the systemic roots of violence. By saturating St. Louis’s high-risk micro-locations with targeted resources and restorative outreach, we aim to replace cycles of harm with sustainable stability and neighborhood-driven peace.
To serve as a catalyst for neighborhood transformation by empowering residents with high-fidelity, quantitative data to lead localized crime prevention efforts. By translating complex analytics into actionable community strategies, we aim to systematically dismantle the drivers of violence and foster a measurable, long-term reduction in crime across our city’s most vulnerable corridors.
The St. Louis Public Safety Collaborative (STLPSC) is a group of community stakeholders, working to promote the co-production of public safety to reduce crime. We explore community driven approaches to resolve/reduce harm in high-risk areas of St. Louis that are identified using recent crime data and reports. We are a group of local volunteers who are working to improve the quality of life of neighborhoods.

How We Improve Public Safety
Risk Terrain Modeling
Risk Terrain Modelin (RTM) is a risk assessment technique and diagnostic method to identify the spatial attractors of criminal behavior and environmental factors that are conducive to crime.
DICE
Data-Informed Community Engagement (DICE) is an evidence-based, community-centered approach that empowers communities to co-create equitable public safety strategies through data analysis that is transparent, effective, and tailored to local problems. DICE is powered by Risk Terrain Modeling (RTM) and delivered via RTDMx software that diagnoses crime patterns, identifies environmental conditions that contribute to crime problems, and drives decision making for public safety. RTM seeks to reduce crime by focusing on places, not people.
